Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will support the marketing team through designing effective marketing materials. This role requires effective design skills for a wide range of marketing components such as digital campaigns (emails, site assets, digital advertising and social media.) The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating marketing collateral including email, site asset, and social media advertising while managing the marketing resources efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing team to ensure adherence to the processes and goals are met while proactively addressing and course correcting when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective graphics and ad materials to support Soundsight
  • Solve creative and communicative issues based on brief
  • Follow project from concept to final approval ensuring integrity of creative concept is kept in focus throughout
  • Use effective time management and organizational skills to maintain effective workflow and meet deadlines
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the field of design and be familiar with industry marketing programs
  • Assist other designers with projects as required
  • Assist production staff in developing relevant stories/content for television, film, online streaming and other platforms (social media management).
  • Research topics using a variety of sources, including video archives, the internet, library archives and others as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.

Jobs Skills & Qualifications:

  • Earning/Graduated with a BA degree in Graphic Design or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • 1 or more years experience in graphic design in a marketing environment
  • Excellent typography skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital environment, including files, formats and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of pre-press file preparation including font management and support file links
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong time management skills
  • Branding experience

Must be experienced in the following software:

Photoshop
Canva

Salary:

Unpaid Internship. Intern will receive course credit with university and experience with hands-on film productions; in pre-production, production and post-production.
